Production process

detailed explanation of the production process

  • Coconut shell charcoal powder is received from the supplier.
  • Raw material is screened to remove dirt and other impurities using rotary machine and manually.
  • Coconut shell powder is mixed with tapioca flour (5% of the mixture is tapioca) and water using mixer machine for approximately 30 minutes duration.
  • The mixer is then put through a blending machine twice for better blended product.
  • The blended material is then pushed to a molding machine.
  • The molded material is then put through two cutting machines to obtain the two desired shapes (BBQ balls and Hexagon).
  • The material is then placed on open iron trays manually and kept to be sun dried for a minimum of 5 days.
  • After the material is dried, a final inspection is conducted to separate the confirming products from non-confirming products.
  • The confirming products are then placed in an open area for a minimum of 21 days to cool.
  • Before being packed into inner plastics, product temperature and ambient temperature are checked with infrared thermometers to ensure that the product temperature is less than 5c above ambient temperature.
  • The products are then packed into inner plastics, and corrugated boxes which are stamped with the date of production and expiry date.
  • Finished goods are then placed in finished goods warehouse.
